Ambassador Francisco Madeira, the Special Representative of the Chairperson of the African Union Commission (SRCC) for Somalia addresses residents of Daifa village located six kilometers from Jowhar in Middle Shabelle region on 15 October 2018. Ambassador Madeira was in the area to commission 16 shallow wells fitted with hand pumps. The shallow wells were funded by the Government of Kazakhstan through the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM).
