A Roman large handle, 1st/2nd century AD Bronze with black-green patina. Massively cast fitting with three-dimensional, male bust on the outside as well as wing-shaped parts for fixation, each with two holes, on the sides. The opposite side with the head and the (shortened) paw of a three-dimensionally modelled lion, with a strong loop (broken off) on top. The head of the male bust somewhat knocked, one "wing part" slightly shortened. Width cm, weight kg. Probably the handle of a cauldron or an oversized vessel.
