Tres Virgenes volcano
In the mountainous Sierra de San Francisco is located the Tres Virgenes volcano, near the border between the states of Baja California and Baja California Sur, on the Baja California Peninsula. There are three volcanoes considered active El Viejo, Sulphur and La Virgen aligned NE-SW direction, within the Biosphere Reserve of Vizcaino. It is an area of geothermal potential.
