Bones and Cartilages, Plates 21 and 42.—The anteriorhalves of, and the cartilages of,the six inferior ribs (right andleft), the ensiform cartilage ofthe sternum, the crest of theilium and the superior surfaceof the ossa pubis of the rightand the left os innominatum,form the osseous framework ofthis dissection. All these bones[ and cartilages afford attach-ments to muscles.
