Passenger aircraft construction. Completed fuselage section of an Airbus passenger plane being loaded onto an Airbus Beluga freight plane (white, left). The Beluga is a version of the standard A300/600SR wide-body airliner that has been modified to carry aircraft parts and over-sized or awkward cargo. It has the largest freight hold ever built, and is used to shuttle Airbus subassemblies between the various different construction sites and to final assembly lines in Toulouse and Hamburg.
