SAN DIEGO (January 11, 2018) Vice Adm. Mike Shoemaker is awarded the Distinguised Service Medal during a Commander, Naval Air Forces change of command ceremony at Naval Air Station North Island. Shoemaker was relieved by Vice Adm. DeWolfe Miller III as commander of Naval Air Forces.
