The London Lightning defeated the Saint John Mill Rats in the first round of the NBL playoffs.

London Ontario, Canada - March 9, 2012. Tim Ellis (23) of the London Lightning wrestles for the ball against a Saint John Mill Rats player while London Lightning Eddie Smith yells from the sidelines in game two of their best of three first round, the Ligthning won the first round of the playoffs defeating the Saint John Mill Rats 87-82 in front of a record crowd of 3919 at the John Labatt Centre. The Lightning will now play either the Halifax Rainmen or the Quebec Kebs in the next round that will be a best of five series.
