Conjoined twin skeletons. 18th-century journal page showing the front and rear of the skeletons of conjoined twins born in Domremy-la-Pucelle, Lorraine, France, on 24 December 1722. The account given by Fevry, one of the surgeons of the Duke of Lorraine, named the 44-year-old mother as Sebastiana Camus. The twins died at two months. For them in life, see C011/2271. This page is from volume 7 of the 1734 edition of 'The Philosophical Transactions', an abridged collection of papers from the Royal Society. The original paper describing the birth was published in 1723 in volume 32 of 'Philosophical Transactions'.
