Pokrovske is a small town in Dnipropetrovsk region Zaporizhia and Dnipro regions have been a focus of Russian attacks since the beginning of the Battle for Donbas, and both serve as a gateway to inner Ukraine. Russia invaded Ukraine on 24 February 2022, triggering the largest military attack in Europe since World War II.
