Well House. Ardeley, Hertfordshire. Built in the centre of the green. A hexagonal structure built of brick and solid timbers, with a tiled roof topped by a weather vane, it supplied the residents for a number of years, until piped water was brought to the village. The machinery for raising the water can still be seen.
