Coasts of southern Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina, southwards to northern Patagonia. In addition to the above, there are 4 specimens (98-260 mm.) in the British Museum collection, the types of Xystreurys brasiliensis and two from off the coast of Uruguay (Marini).
