It is very roughlyexecuted, and is printed in grey onwhite paper. Eor two other interest-ing specimens of Erench Colonialstamps, we may turn to those ofReunion, a small island situatedwithin a few miles of the well-known British colony of the Mauri-tius. The design of these stamps ismost singular for, as is shown by theannexed engraving, that of the 15 is formed by a peculiarly shaped star,surrounded by what are not unlikefetters, and in the 30 c. by very in-tricately curved lines. These stampswere issued in 1862 (three of themare described in a catalogue published THE STAMP-COLLECTOES EEVIEW. 81 some few months since, but doubtlesserroneously,) and are printed in blackon blue paper. Some very rare specimens of obso-lete stamps have been furnished bythe British possessions of the Mauri-tius and Van Diemens Land, theold bhie Id. of which latter island
