John Kungu, who has been a local council chairperson for the last 29 years, in Namuwongo slum says his office was closed due to the coronavirus far only 33 people have been confirmed to be infected with COVID-19 in Uganda, and less than 5,000 across Africa. The government of Uganda has imposed restrictions on business, education and travel, where public transport was banned for at least 2weeks and people were advised to stay at home as a preventive measure against the spread of coronavirus.
