A sabre M 1826 for officers of the fusiliers, Slender pipe-backed Damascus steel blade, obverse with gilt remnants of the Prussian crest beneath an imperial crown, reverse name cartouche "Frhr. von Plettenberg". Brass knuckle-bow hilt with lanyard rings, rayskin hilt with silver wire wrap. Grip spine repaired. Black lacquered iron scabbard with two movable brass carry rings, signs of usage and age.
