Air Force Col. Jerime Reid, former 92nd Air Refueling Wing commander, recalls his experience on the day that Shell 77 crashed during a memorial event honoring the crew at Fairchild Air Force Base, Washington, May 3, 2022. The crew of Shell 77 tried to control the aircraft after it experienced a flight control malfunction but eventually the Dutch Roll overcame the aircraft and they were lost over the mountains south of Manas Air Base.
