GULF OF OMAN (Feb. 15, 2017) Quartermaster 1st Class Christopher Allison, left, and Seaman Brooke Mesa, right, cut a February birthday-month cake aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Cole (DDG 67) during a birthday dinner. Cole is deployed in the 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations designed to reassure allies and partners, preserve the freedom of navigation and free flow of commerce in the region.
