Margaret Houghton, Tech. Sgt. Todd Houghton's wife, checks the internal temperature of their beef brisket shortly after 3:30 , while at their regional qualifying competition in Atlanta, Ga. Houghton and members of his team, Hoot 'N' Annie Q, slow cooked different meats throughout the night, ultimately earning them a finalist spot in the inaugural Air Force High Flyin' BBQ Challenge in San Antonio.
