Beeler, prepared speci-fications for a number of methods of construction which,with the estimates of the cost, were submitted to the direc-tors. Of the 11 sections which we publish, some are betterthan others ; section M is considered the most durable andpracticable, and therefore the most economical, though sec-tions A, F and H are all first-class. The estimates of cost are per mile of single track includ-ing pavement 7 ft. 6 in.
