The War in Schleswig: Austrian outpost near Lottorf - from a sketch by our special artist, 1864. 'In the Engraving on our front page we see the interior of a public-house at Lottorf occupied by a party of Austrian riflemen, on the night of Friday the 6th [February], a few hours before they moved on to Schleswig. The three persons seated at the table are an English officer, a German hay contractor (with his head sunk between his arms), and our Special Artist himself. The landlord and his wife are reposing in one corner of the room'. From "Illustrated London News", 1864.
