Canal d'amour is at the Sidari village of Corfu island in Greece Corfu Latin: Corcyra; Italian: Corfù) is a Greek island in the Ionian Sea. It is the second largest of the Ionian Islands, and, including its small satellite islands, forms the edge of the northwestern frontier of Greece. The island is part of the Corfu regional unit, and is administered as a single municipality. The municipality includes the island Corfu and the smaller islands Ereikoussa, Mathraki and Othonoi. The principal city of the island and seat of the municipality (pop. 32,095) is also named Corfu. Sidari is a settlement in the northern part of the island of Corfu. It is a community of the municipal unit of Esperies. In 2011 its population was 386. This is the place were the Canal d'amour resides. A geological formation of canals and rocky beaches across the coastline of Sidari village. There is a myth that if a married couple walks through these canals they will never divorce. That is why it is called the Canal d'amour or the Love Canal.
