In the background six spectators, including Prince Maurits (left) and King Henry IV of France (center). The draw competition depicts the battle between the Republic and Spain to power in East Indies and West Indies, the Golden Stick that gives riches. At the top of the show a verse of 4 lines in Dutch: an old Skipper of Monickendam etc. The print is used in a leaflet against the peace negotiations for the file in the year 1608.
