A committee of three was ap- jiointed to draw up resolutions on the death of our late members, J. W. Garrett and Mrs. M. M. Ayres. On motion it was decided to hold a carnation exhibit at the next meeting of the club. This exhibition will be in the hands of the trustees and will be staged at one of the wholesale houses. Members attending the American Carnation Society exhibi- tion at Indianapolis were requested to come prepared to make reports at the next meeting. \V. S. Wells, secretary of the Missouri State Florists' Association, was called upon for a few remarks. He said the association was in splendid shape and that a meeting of the members would be called during the spring flower show in St. Louis. I'resident II. C. Irish, of the Missouri Horticultural Society, was next called upon for a talk, and he told the members of the recent meeting of the society held at Kansas City. On motion it was decided to place in nomination the name of Jules Bourdet for vice-president of the S. A. F., at the New York convention in August. The ([uestion box brought out a good discus- sion. The next meeting of the club will be held February
