The Magirus Half-hour Apparatus.—Theessential feature in this apparatus was theabsence of any alkaline absorbent for removingthe carbon dioxide in the exhaled air. Theapparatus is fitted with a reducino-valve {R. F.,Fig. 4), and in the following test of theapparatus this was set to deliver 3 litres ofoxygen per minute.
