GULF OF ADEN (Nov. 19, 2018) Ensign Sean Spencer stands watch on the bridge of the Arleigh-Burke class guided-missile destroyer USS Jason Dunham (DDG 109) as the ship conducts a replenishment-at-sea with the fleet replenishment oiler USNS Laramie (T-AO 203). Jason Dunham is deployed to the 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and the Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
