Why this trap should dothis effectively, may perhaps be understood onnoticing the facts, again repeated. First.—There is no enlargement of the water-way of the trap, and consequently no loss offorce in the sewage discharge to move the ballquickly and to scour out the trap, and there isno sediment chamber. Second.—The ball seats itselj with muchcelerity and precision and holds a deep waterseal.
