He owns a farm )near Harmonyand is regarded as one of the venerable anduseful citizens of the community, receivingthe respect which should ever be accordedto old age. In his family were five chil-dren : James, who served as a soldier in theCivil war and is now living in Kansas City,Missouri; Nathan; Mrs. Jane Slusher; Ed-ward, who is living in Washington town-ship; and JNIason. The mother of thesechildren died at the age of sixty-two years,and her death was mourned by many friends,. NATHAN BROWN Aged 19, while serving in Company A, First Nebraska Regiment.
