Eagle owl rescued after leg torn and being held until recovered. Not quite mature adult but impressive wing span and eyes of a clear golden colour fixed on prey in the grasses behind photographer - not distracted by having his picture taken. Image is square cropped to emphasise how close the bird was to the lens as he flew down. Barred markings in feathers typical of the genus.
