There is no Onion equal to it for exhibition purposes. It is a handsome globe shape, the outer skin being a beautiful straw color. The seed should be sown indoors or in a hot-bed early in spring and transplanted. By this treatment enormous crops can. be raised, a yield of over a thousand bushels to the acre not being uncommon. The Onion grows to a very large size, frequently weighing 2V4 to 3 lbs. each. It is re- markably mild in flavor.
