1930 -Two of Commander C D Burney's newly designed streamlined rear engine motor cars - The Prince of Wales was one of the cars first owners. Streamline Cars Ltd was the company responsible for making the Burney cars designed by Dennis Burney. Thirteen (completely different cars) were produced at Maidenhead, intended as patent showcases rather than specifically for commercial sales. Sir Dennistoun Burney rose to fame as an airship designer, best known for his work at Howden on the R100 for Vickers. Original price per car was around £1,500. Streamline Cars closed down in 1936.
