Rotten apples seen gathered outside an apple orchard on the outskirts of Srinagar. Road works have halted thousands of trucks carrying millions of dollars worth of apples on main highway, which connects the disputed region with the rest of the India. Chairman of the Kashmir Valley Fruit Growers cum Dealers Union, told local news agency that the apple industry suffered losses of over 100 crore rupees over the past 10 to 12 days.
