Green, a native of Bath, Maine, says her biggest joy in being an independent duty corpsman is the hands-on aspect. “As a chief corpsman, the only way to continue to provide patient care is to become an IDC. It gives me a unique opportunity to train aspiring health professionals in the field I love and watch their careers blossom before my eyes.”
