A Drunkard's cloak, a type of pillory used to punish miscreants. Drunkards were made to wear a barrel which had openings cut in the sides, top and bottom for their arms, head and legs, they were then paraded through the streets as punishment. From Old England: A Pictorial Museum, published 1847.
