Mclntyre Bros, have discontinued the old range on Harding road, dismantling it and moving the glass to the new place. They say they are getting bet- ter results with less expense by having everything in one place, and not at- tempting to man two ranges. The new establishment is one of the best built, most up-to-date ranges in the south. Floyd Bralliar is again working with cannas. He has got together a collec- tion of most of the novelties and a few of the best of the standard varieties and is breeding them. He reports good results from this summer. Speaking of cannas, the best thing we have seen in years is Wintzer's Firebird No. 14, an unintroduced seed- ling. In foliage, freedom of bloom, durability and size of flower, size of truss, and vigor, it is in a class by it- self. Miss Carrie Chance returned lai|t week from a 'vacation spent in -^Ui§~| mountains. ^ The florists here are closing for most of the day Sundays now. This is a new departure for Nashville. Haury & Sons have found it profltable to maintain their stand in the city mar- ket all summer as well as operate their store. In the market they handle most- ly pot and bedding plants. Miss Lillian Joy, who has been spend- ing her summer vacation in Kansas City and vicinity, is back again at work in the Joy store. Oscar Geny, of Geny Bros., has en- joyed better health this summer than he has for several years. Their houses are in excellent condition for the win- ter. At the s
