Portrait view looking towards the scenic Warfleet Creek in Dartmouth. View is along Warfleet Creek Road, the arch here is beneath Castle Road which leads to the historic Dartmouth Castle and the coast path. Beyond this sheltered creek is the river Dart and on the opposite river bank is the surrounding countryside of the village of Kingswear. Castle Road, leads to a small castle at the mouth of the river which was completed in 1502. This creek gets its name from Saxon times referring to ‘Welflut’, the stream that runs into it.
