Albert, Prince consort & husband of Queen Victoria portrait & signature

From an original engraving The Hume & Stafford history of England published circa 1868. Albert is said to have aided Britain's move to a constitutional monarchy by persuading the Queen to be less partisan in her dealings with Parliament despite his disagreement with Palmerston on Palmerston's interventionist foreign policy.
