27/08/2021. Gravesend. HMS Severn is pictured patrolling the River Thames near Gravesend this afternoon. The Royal Navy’s patrol ship was going to be scraped but has been brought back into serviceand been spruced up with a new camouflage scheme reminiscent of the dazzle patterns painted on ships in World War I. The warship is on her way to London to participate in a ceremony at The Royal Navy’s Headquarters HMS President near Tower Bridge.
