EDWARD ISAAC native son of California, Edward I. Beeson was born in Sacramento onMarch 1, 1858, the son of J. B. and Caroline Beeson, the former born in NorthCarolina in 1818, and the latter born in Connecticut in 1819. When the goldfever was at its height the elder Mr. Beeson came to California across the plainswith ox-teams, in 1852, and settled at Sacramento, where he carried on miningfor about seven years.
