Crystals grown from Coldrex formed on microscope slide from ethanolic solution X100
Crystals exhibit bi-refringence when viewed between cross polarisers in a special microscope. The colours are sometimes very beautiful and they can be changed by rotating the beam of light. These pictures were taken using a digital camera on a research polarising microscope.
