Catocala ilia —This beautiful moth was quite plentiful at sugar during the pastseason. I took my first specimen on the 20lh July and also secured it several times later. Catocala neogama.—1 took one specimen of this insect on the 3rd August. This isconsidered to be a rather rare Catocala in this locality. Catocala retecta.—i he black underwings are always eagerly sought after. Severalretectas were taken here this year. I took my first one on the 24th August. Catocalas were unusually early this year, most of them being taken in July andAugust, while in other years I have always taken them towards the end of August andbeginning of September.
