St Mary Woolnoth. One of the 'Fifty New Churches' or 'Queen Anne Churches', built 1716-1727 by Nicholas Hawksmoor in the English Baroque style. The reredos or baldacchino with twisted Solomonic columns. In the 1870s Butterfield raised the chancel, pushing the reredos up against the chancel arch.
