Lincoln, Santa Cruz, Cal., who has withdrawn his quo- tations on the bulbs he grows, and it will be another ten days before a def- inite report can be made as to how much it will shorten the crop. The cold was sufficient to retard the growth of the bulbs, and there will be a great shortage in the larger sizes, such aa the %-inch and %-inch sizes. It is now posi- tive, he says, that there will not be a surplus of any size. Reports indicate the 1922 crop as not over fifty per cent normal, which will be less than last year.
