ADENOVIRUS


Adenoviruses (in yellow) are viruses whose genotype is composed of a molecule of DNA. Their characteristic feature is their capsid (proteins that enclose and protect the virus' nucleic acid), with its triangular facets forming an icosahedron (a 20-sided polyhedron).
