Historic stone building situated at the edge of Albert park Abingdon. The building housed spring that fed water to Ock Street


This Stone building is situated at the edge of Albert park Abingdon. The building housed a cistern fed by a local spring, The Carswell which supplied water to the residents of Ock St. Mr Ely's fountain at the well head was later moved to the wall of Thomkin's Almshouses in Conduit Rd. This building is owned by Christs Hospital of Abingdon, a registered charity.
