Berlin Dahlem, AlliiertenMuseum. Allied museum. The museum documents the political history and the military roles of the Western Allies (US, France and Britain) in Germany between 1945 and museum is located on Clayallee in what was the American sector of postwar West Berlin. The buildings, near the US Army headquarters, previously housed an American movie theater, called Outpost, and the Nicholson Memorial Library. The museum was inaugurated in 1998 on the fiftieth anniversary of the Berlin exhibits include a Handley Page Hastings transport plan used by the Royal Air Force in the Berlin airlift, a railway carriage from a French military train, the last guard house from the Berlin Checkpoint Charlie border crossing, and a rebuilt East German watchtower.
