Itstands upon a bare rock, in mid-ocean. The light is a beautiful,fixed, white one of the second class. The tower is one hundredand thirty-three feet in height. Here the keepers are imprisonedfor most of tiie winter season, as it is diflicult to launch aboat except in calmest Aveather, and always uncertain whetheryou can land on returning.
