A home-cooked deep fried section of a bull huss, Scyliorhinus stellaria, served with boiled potatoes, salad and coleslaw, caught boat fishing on rod and line off the Dorset coast in the English Channel. Bull huss are also known as the greater spotted dogfish; rough hound; huss; nurse hound and large- spotted cat shark. They are sometimes sold in fish and chip shops as rock salmon; rock eel or flake.
