Small fan-footed wave moth


Small fan-footed wave (Idaea biselata) moth. The flight period of this moth is usually June and August. It occurs in damp meadows, gardens and woodland habitats and is found widely across palearctic ecozone. The larvae feed on a variety of plants such as asparagus, dandelion and plantains. Photographed in Somerset, UK, in July.
