The design comprises anoctagonal ])cdestal, eighty-three feet high, upon whielistands a figure of Faitli, rising to the height of seventyfeet above the platform of the pedestal, so that the whole. monument will rise one hundred and fifty-three feet abovethe earth upon which it rests.
