A damascus sabre for artillery officers patterned after model 1826, circa 1900 issue, Slender, slightly curved Damascus steel blade, fullered on both sides, with knight's head mark (Solingen) and gilt etchings, the obverse with gilt bandeau "Eisenhauer Damast-Stahl", the reverse with gilt motto "In Treue fest". The back bears the supplier's signature in gold "Lorenz Stanko München". Nickel-plated steel basket hilt (the pommel with an incuse noble crest), brown leather-covered hilt with triple brass wire wrap.
