NuSTAR space telescope construction. Spacecraft technician performing closeout work inside the fairing that will be installed around NASA's Nuclear Spectroscopic Telescope Array (NuSTAR). NuSTAR is NASA's 11th small-explorer mission (SMEX-11) and is a space-based X-ray telescope that will use a Wolter telescope to focus high energy X-rays from astrophysical sources, especially for nuclear (gamma-ray) spectroscopy. It was built by Orbital Sciences Corporation and launched on 13th June 2012. Photographed at Vandenberg Air Force Base's processing facility, California, USA, on 2nd March 2012.
